From April 1 to April 10, Russia increased its exports of wheat by 1.4 times compared to the same period last year, reaching almost 1.1 million tons. This was reported by "Interfax" citing data from the Russian Grain Union (RGU). According to the director of the analytical department of the organization, Elena Tyurina, the total export of major types of grain increased 1.6 times, to 1.2 million tons. Among other individual grain crops, the export of corn increased sharply by 7.2 times, from 12.6 to 90.8 thousand tons. Barley was not exported abroad in the first decade of last April, but 64.7 thousand tons were imported this time. The number of countries importing Russian wheat decreased, as usual, from 14 to 11.
