Russia plans to increase agro-exports by 25% by 2030. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the main driver of growth should be high-value products. One of the key roles here is played by vegetable oils and meal. How well processing capacities correspond to record areas and yields of oilseed crops, and where new oil extraction plants will appear, the journal Pole.RF found out from market experts. Over the past three years, oilseed processing capacities have grown by 21% from 28.5 million tons in 2022 to 34.5 million tons by the end of 2025, the Oil and Fat Union of Russia told the journal Pole.RF. "The largest increase was in soybean processing capacities — 2 million tons and in rapeseed/flax — 550 thousand tons per year. Taking into account the introduced export duty on flax, a significant share of these capacities can be loaded with processing of linseed oil already in the current season.
