Since then, passion fruit gardens have been destroyed to make way for other crops like coffee and durian with higher and more stable economic value. Although later passion fruit prices rose again, currently fluctuating around 16-17,000 dong/kg (picked passion fruit), sometimes reaching 26-27,000 dong/kg, farmers are hesitant and only practicing intercropping.
