Millings by type were 45.9 million pounds of Virginias and Valencias, 346 million pounds of Runners, and 16.2 million pounds of Spanish. Commercial processors utilized 205 million pounds of shelled edible grade peanuts during June. Utilization by type was 114 million pounds for all peanut butter products, 41.9 million pounds for peanut candy, and 43.4 million pounds for peanut snacks. Crushing for oil and cake and meal totaled 49.4 million pounds during the month.
