The UK is a major importer of avocados and grapes. In 2021, Fair Trade certified products in the UK grew by 13.6%, reaching over one billion pounds. The trade agreement with the UK is crucial, as the UK is the main investor in Peru's infrastructure, energy, and financial transition. Since the agreement's implementation, Peru's exports to the UK have seen significant growth, totaling US$ 1,345 million in 2021, a 205.6% increase from 2020.
