Since the start of 2024, Peruvian lemon exports have seen a growth in both volume and value compared to the previous year, with the first quarter reaching 15,540 tons valued at $15.7 million, a 10% increase in volume and 5% increase in value year-over-year. Despite this, the average price per kilogram fell by 4% to $1.01. The exports were distributed to 15 countries, with the United States, Chile, and the Dominican Republic being the top three recipients. The Dominican Republic specifically imported 1,798 tons, marking a significant increase from 2023, but the average price there also saw an 8% decrease.
