Angel Manero, the Minister of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, has inaugurated a SENASA plant products inspection and phytosanitary treatment center in Yanatile, Calca, providing service to over 27,000 fruit and vegetable producers. The center is a part of the national quarantine protection program aimed at eradicating the fruit fly plague and will ensure pest-free products for national and international markets. The facility has cost S/ 7'618,395.00, funded by the State and the Inter-American Development Bank, and will create job opportunities for various professionals. The minister's goal is to boost the fruit sector and integrate all government levels to benefit small producers.
