The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) announced that Peruvian poultry and pork have just made their way into one of the world’s most demanding markets: Singapore. The Asian country, with high purchasing power and over six million consumers, officially authorized the entry of these products, marking a milestone for the national agricultural sector. The access was not immediate. Behind it was a rigorous sanitary process led by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), which included audits of Peruvian plants and a complete review of the country’s sanitary system. The result: green light for an industry that thus validates its standards at an international level.
