Peru's Daily Business highlights a surge in quinoa exports due to a rebound in production and rising global demand for healthy foods. Between January and July, Peru exported 28,300 tons of quinoa to 69 countries, with the United States, Canada, Italy, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Chile, and Israel making up 68.5% of these exports. The U.S. remains the top importer, while Italy's imports have notably increased. Peru maintains its position as the leading global producer and exporter of quinoa, supporting over 89,600 small farmers in the Andes Plateau.
