From January to October 2022, Peru's blueberry exports saw a significant increase of 36.4% compared to the same period in 2021, reaching a total of 210,000 metric tons and valued at $1,112 million. The United States and the Netherlands were the primary markets, accounting for 52.2% and 22.3% of the export value, respectively. The regions of La Libertad and Lambayeque were the leading exporters, contributing 79.5% of the total, and have experienced substantial growth since 2021. This places blueberries as a crucial product in Peru's agricultural exports, which have grown from 0.7% of the total in 2014 to 15.2% in 2021.
