In the first quarter of the year, Peruvian coffee exports surged to 45,600 tons valued at US$ 148 million, showing a 183% increase in volume and a 95% rise in value compared to the same period in 2023, despite a 31% drop in average price to US$ 3.25 per kilogram. The exports reached 42 destinations, with the United States, Belgium, and Germany being the top importers. The U.S. imported 8,530 tons for US$ 29 million, Belgium 7,479 tons for US$ 27 million, and Germany 6,956 tons for US$ 24 million. Leading exporters included H.V.C. Exportaciones S.A.C., Compañía Internacional del Café S.A.C., Olam Agro Perú S.A.C., and Comercio Amazonía S.A.
