Peruvian garlic exports fell -24% in volume, but increased +29% in value in 2024

(Agraria.pe) Peru exported 14,327 tons of garlic for US$ 41.1 million in 2024, showing a drop of -24% in volume, but an increase of +29% in value, compared to what was reported in 2023. The climatic complications at the beginning of 2024 affected national production. However, the situation improved since October and in the last quarter of the year much larger shipments were achieved. But this was not enough to recover the lower exports of the first stage of the year.
