In October 2024, Peruvian mango exports saw a significant surge, with a 218% increase in volume and an 181% increase in value compared to the same month in 2023, reaching 11,638 tons and generating US$ 22.5 million despite a 12% drop in average price. However, adverse weather conditions and logistical issues had led to a decrease in mango production by 64% and value by 35% throughout the year. The exports were predominantly fresh mangoes (67%) and frozen mangoes (30%), with the United States being the primary importer. The leadership in exports was shifted among Jumar Perú S.A.C., Agroindustria Frutos de Oro S.A.C., and Virú S.A., highlighting the participation of 124 exporters in the market.
