Peruvian mango exports reached 11,638 tons for US$ 22.5 million in October

(Agraria.pe) In October 2024, mango exports achieved a significant rebound after several negative months. 11,638 tons were exported, generating US$ 22.5 million, which represented an increase of +218% in volume and +181% in value compared to what was reported in the same month of 2023. Despite the positive performance in October, the average price registered a fall of -12%, standing at US$ 1.94 per kilogram. However, this progress did not manage to reverse the accumulated decrease in the year, which closed with 101,207 tons (-64%) and a value of US$ 267 million (-35%). Adverse weather conditions played a crucial role in this result, as they caused a lower availability of mango.
