(Agraria.pe) Between January and June of this year, Peru imported 87,885,086 kilos of rice for a CIF value of US$ 56,527,187. These figures reveal a significant decrease from the 126,828,168 kilos imported in the same period of 2021 for US$ 88,408,419. According to a report from the Agrodata portal, the main supplier of this product in the period corresponding to 2022 was Brazil, which achieved placements in the Peruvian market for US$ 35,517,754 (63% of total national imports).
