(Agraria.pe) Peruvian rocoto exports maintained a positive performance during the first five months of 2025, reaching 416.8 tons, which represented a 0.8% growth in exported volume compared to the same period of the previous year. This was stated by Heber Chávez, a market analyst, who highlighted the national and international supply capacity due to the fact that it is a crop available throughout the year. "This characteristic allows the rocoto not only to satisfy the domestic demand, but also to have a constant presence in international markets," Chávez maintained. During the period from January to May 2025, Peruvian rocoto reached 19 countries. The United States was consolidated as the main destination, absorbing 42.3% of exports, followed by Spain, which represented 33.3% of participation.
