The 2025/26 soybean planting advances at a good pace in Brazil, driven by the rains that have returned to areas of the Midwest, according to the consultancy AgRural. As of last Thursday (16), about 24% of the estimated area for the crop was sown. The number represents a 10 percentage point advance over the previous week (14%) and exceeds the 18% recorded in the same period last year. AgRural attributes the performance to the return of precipitation in key regions. With the increase in humidity, sowing has gained strength mainly in Mato Grosso, which surpassed Paraná and took the lead among producing states in this crop. For the 2025/26 summer corn, AgRural's survey indicates that planting has reached 51% of the estimated area in the Center-South, up from 45% the previous week and 48% in the same period last year.
