The head of the Assembly of Agrarian Chambers of Ukraine, Olga Trofimtseva, has identified buckwheat as a potential opportunity for Ukraine. She pointed out that the country has been producing little of the traditional crop, which is now a niche product. She used the example of a German supermarket where buckwheat is sold for about € 2 per pound to emphasize the market potential. Therefore, Trofimtseva advocates for more cultivation, packaging, and export of buckwheat in Ukraine.
