Argentina has announced its first export of chilled boneless pork to Uruguay, traditionally a market for Brazilian pork. This milestone, revealed at the International Symposium of the Federation of Rural Associations of Mercosur in Gualeguaychú, Entre Ríos, is celebrated by officials from both countries. It signifies a major achievement for Argentina's pork industry, aiming to boost the sector's economy and competitiveness in the region. Initially, three Argentine meat processing plants will be authorized to export, with the possibility of more joining. The event also featured discussions on sustainability in Mercosur agriculture.
