Portuguese wine exports reach 447.6 million euros in the first half of 2023

The 1st half of 2023 registered a positive growth in exports of Portuguese wines compared to the same period of the previous year. According to data released by ViniPortugal, in the first six months of the year total wine exports reached 447.6 million euros, 158.3 million litres, at an average price of 2.83 euros per litre. When compared to the first half of 2022, there is an increase of 3.4 million liters in exports in volume, 16.8 million euros in value and 0.05 euros in the average price per liter. Compared to the same period last year, it is worth highlighting the growth in wine exports to the United Kingdom worth €13.3 million, as well as to Brazil with €6.1 million and Angola with €4 million. “We saw a significant increase in the first half of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.
