Positive results were obtained in the trial studies of grafted carob seedlings in Adana. Adana Regional Directorate of Forestry and Adana Forestry Nursery Directorate have signed another innovation regarding carob, which has made significant contributions to the economy of the country and forest villagers. Grafted carob seedlings trial studies were started in Adana Forest Nursery. It was seen that positive results were obtained from the first samples of vaccination studies. According to the results obtained from the vaccination studies, it is planned to expand the production of grafted carob seedlings in the coming years. Adana Regional Director of Forestry Mahmut Yılmaz said, "While the carob gardens established with seedlings can meet the expenses within 9-11 years, they start to produce products; in the gardens to be established with grafted carob seedlings, this period is aimed to be reduced to 3-4 years.
