Zhangji Town in Shanxian County, Heze City, Shandong Province, China, is fostering the mushroom cultivation sector, with a villager achieving a net profit of over 20,000 yuan per season. The town has drawn on poverty alleviation funds to establish a mushroom industry base, receiving technical guidance from Shandong Agricultural University to enhance output. A total of 25 villages have established a demonstration base for mushroom cultivation, covering more than 160 acres and producing over 2 million fungus sticks annually. The town's master plan aims to encourage local residents to engage in mushroom farming, providing them with mushroom sticks, technology, and sales support, in an effort to create a thriving local industry.
