The new green asparagus campaign has begun, with the product mainly coming from Campania. The distribution of the Romanesco artichoke comes to life but the demand is still subdued. On the other hand, that of strawberries is growing, thanks also to the spring temperatures. The volumes of red oranges, at the end of marketing, decrease and the quotations rise. Still some critical issues for the availability of Sicilian tomatoes. Thanks to the agreement with Italian Electronic Merchandise Exchange (Bmti) and Italmercati we are publishing the fruit and vegetable prices at the wholesale markets as of March 13, 2023.
