According to the bulletin, part of the crops is still in vegetative and reproductive development, due to the delay in planting caused by the difficulty in obtaining stems from other municipalities. The entity expects the pace of harvesting to intensify in the coming months. According to Emater/RS-Ascar, the crop presents good development and health, and the price received by the farmer is around R$ 50.00 per box of 22 kilograms. In the administrative region of Santa Rosa, the cultivation occupies about 6,329 hectares, intended for human consumption, the production of starch, and the feeding of animals in periods of forage restriction.
