Exactly two weeks ago, members of the National Association of Agricultural Producers in Bulgaria (NAZ) requested a meeting with Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov to present their demands for the resignation of the agriculture minister, Georgi Takhov, under whose one-year management not a single major law was passed to resolve the accumulated problems in the sector. However, the subsequent political turmoil prevented this meeting, so the farmers are still waiting for the meeting to take place. In an interview with BNT today, NAZ President Iliya Prodanov explained that his colleagues will exercise patience while waiting for a conversation with the prime minister.
