Brazil: Production costs for chicken fall and pork rise in November

The Production Cost Index, the ICPSuíno, increased 1.72% in November compared to October, closing at 456.92 points. Already the ICPFrango, which calculates the production costs of broiler chicken, had variation of 0.11%, closing the month of November at 425.37 points. Nutrition costs, with a 1.32% increase and a weight of 79.69% in the composition of the total cost, were the ones that most impacted the ICPSuíno in November. In the year, the high already reaches 12.10% in this item alone. With this, the total cost of production per kilogram of live pig produced in a complete cycle system in Santa Catarina reached R$ 7.99, an increase of R$ 0.14 in relation to October.
