Emater pointed out that "the losses associated with climatic events that occurred during the planting and establishment phases caused stand failures and erosion in specific areas." Even with the reduction, the yields remain within the expected standard for the predominant technological level, varying according to the environment, management, and intensity of the rains at the beginning of the cycle. The survey reinforces that canola continues to gain space as a rotation alternative in the winter. The estimated planted area in the State is 176,076 hectares, with an average productivity of 1,645 kg/ha. In the administrative region of Bagé, in the Campanha and Fronteira Oeste, only small areas remain to be harvested. In Manoel Viana, where the largest regional area was concentrated, with 7,300 hectares, the end of the harvest recorded an average productivity of 1,400 kg/ha, a 32% drop from the initial forecast.
