Ukraine exported 6 times less sugar

Exports of sugar (HS code 1 701) for January-December 2021 amounted to 25.5 thousand tons, which is almost 6 times less than a year earlier (150.6 thousand tons). In monetary terms, exports amounted to $ 13.77 million. This was reported by the Scientific Research Center of Sugar Beet Production with reference to the data of the State Customs Service of Ukraine. As noted, since the beginning of the 2021/22 MY, the supply of sugar to foreign markets amounted to 23.3 thousand tons (in 2020/21 MY - 68.8 thousand tons). "The largest countries-importers of Ukrainian sugar (in monetary terms) in January-December 2021 were: Israel (18.68%), Armenia (18.58%), Azerbaijan (13.96%)," experts said. Imports of sugar (TN FEA 1701) for January-December 2021 amounted to 163.7 thousand tons (December - 128 tons).
