The Chairman of Egypt's General Authority for Veterinary Services, Dr. Ihab Saber, announced the first shipment of Egyptian honey bees to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, following a veterinary health examination and the issuance of a safety certificate. This new procedure, managed by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Agricultural Relations and the Bee Department of the Institute of Plant Protection, Veterinary Quarantine, and Digital Transformation, aims to expedite procedures and ensure shipment safety. The move has been applauded by the Arab Beekeepers Union, with the Minister of Agriculture overseeing the process and directing authorities to focus on honey bee exports.
