CNBC Indonesia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and PT Pupuk Indonesia, hosted the Food Agri Outlook 2023 to discuss strategies for maintaining food security in Indonesia. Specific focus was given to the challenges and potential of shrimp production in the country, as revealed by the Secretary General of the Indonesian Shrimp Forum, Coco Kokarkin. These challenges include shrimp disease, high production costs, logistics, and financing. The panel, which included KKP's Plt. Director General Ishartini, FUI's Secretary General Coco Kokarkin, and IPB's Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences Fredinan Yulianda, discussed various solutions to overcome these obstacles and emphasized the importance of government support for market expansion and research in shrimp cultivation.
