The cost of freight in Brazil closed the month of March with a 5,01% increase compared to February, amidst a context of increased demand, higher fuel prices resulting from the war in Iran, and adjustments to the pricing table promoted by the ANTT (National Land Transport Agency). Compared to March 2025, the adjustment was 8,33%. The data comes from Frete Insights, a survey produced by Frete.com, the largest online platform for road freight transport in Latin America. The average freight cost in the country closed March at R$ 0,403 per ton/km traveled, after having registered significant drops in January (-9,49%) and February (-3,35%).
