Technology continues to advance in the agricultural sector. The use of drones is now joined by the utilization of quadrupedal robots for crop control, also known as "robot dogs," which are capable of measuring temperatures, evaluating humidity conditions, identifying pests, and even scaring off potential intruders, among other functions. "Robot dogs have accessories such as infrared or thermographic cameras that allow them to record images in the dark and measure temperatures. They also have gas detection sensors and the ability to move across different types of terrain," explained Jorge Tuesta, CEO of Glexco Robotics, a Peruvian company that already works with this technology.
