Rondônia should produce 4.4 thousand tons of beans in the 2020/2021 harvest, in an area of 3,900 hectares. The production volume remains stable, despite the bad weather, with unconventional meteorological issues, and the coronavirus pandemic itself (covid-19/Sars-CoV-2), just like what happened with corn. The estimate is made by the State Government, through the Secretary of State for Agriculture (Seagri), which is based on the data provided to Agrodados, the validation sector of the references of the state folder involving all kinds of crops. According to the data, the edible beans planted area in the state in the 2020/2021 harvest should not change compared to that of 2019/2020, maintaining the same 3.9 thousand hectares, with stability in both production and productivity.
