Rosselkhoznadzor and RAS entered into a new cooperation agreement.

Rosselkhoznadzor and the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) have signed an agreement on technical cooperation in a number of new areas, according to the press service of the scientific organization. The parties will jointly determine prospective topics for scientific research in a number of areas of crop production, animal husbandry, and the food industry such as seed production, plant quarantine, grain quality, and veterinary medicine. An important place will be occupied by scientific support for the fight against dangerous biological factors, including diseases common to humans and animals (including agricultural) and expert support for issues related to GMOs. The document continues the interaction between the two organizations. The new agreement is concluded for a period of five years and comes into force from the day of its signing.
