In the first quarter of 2024, Russia experienced a notable surge in its agricultural exports, particularly in the live animal sector and meat products. The exports of farm animals more than doubled from the previous year, with cattle exports increasing by 6.8 times, largely to Georgia and Kazakhstan. Pig exports also rose, with Belarus, Vietnam, and Serbia being key importers. Additionally, the export of small ruminants and lamb and goat meat saw significant increases, with Lebanon and Iran being the primary markets, respectively. This growth underscores Russia's expanding role in the global agricultural market.
