Russia: Rosselkhoznadzor disclosed data on exports of livestock products in the first quarter

According to the Rosselkhoznadzor information system FSIS "Argus", in the first quarter of 2024, shipments abroad of live animals, lamb and goat meat, finished meat products, as well as food by-products increased significantly, the agency reports. Exports of farm animals increased 2.2 times compared to the first quarter of 2023. At the same time, shipments of cattle increased by 6.8 times. Among other things, cattle supplies to Georgia in annual terms increased by 29 times, to Kazakhstan by 17.5 times. Georgia has also become one of the main importers of pigs from Russia.
