In the first 11 months of the year, China imported $86.5 million worth of wheat from Russia, a 2.9-fold increase from the previous year. Despite a drop in November, Russia remained the third largest wheat supplier to China, following Kazakhstan and Canada. Russian barley supplies to China also increased by 1.9 times to $167.8 million during the same period. However, exports decreased in November. Corn exports from Russia to China saw a 2.9-fold decrease, but supplies increased in November. Brazil was the largest supplier of corn to China in the same month. Russia is currently only able to supply spring wheat and barley to China, but is seeking permission to supply winter wheat and barley as well.
