In 2023, the exports of fresh tomatoes from Turkmenistan to Russia have seen a significant increase, with around 17 thousand tons already subjected to quarantine phytosanitary control in the Moscow region. The Office of Rosselkhoznadzor and the All-Russian Center for Plant Quarantine have ensured the compliance of these tomatoes with the necessary quarantine requirements through thorough laboratory testing. After passing the required inspections, these tomatoes have been approved for free sale in the Russian market, highlighting the growing agricultural cooperation between Russia and Turkmenistan.
