Russia has experienced a 14.6% decrease in grain exports compared to the previous year, totaling 5.7 million tons. This decline includes a 42% drop in corn exports and a 15.7% decrease in wheat exports, although barley shipments have almost doubled. Despite this, Russia has exported 51.4 million tons of grain since the start of the agricultural year, aiming for a potential of 67 million tons. Wheat, as the largest export, has seen a reduction in the number of importing countries from 44 to 28, with Egypt being the primary importer. Russian wheat prices are currently lower than those in the USA and Europe. Additionally, there's been a decrease in the number of ports used for shipping and a reduction in supply volumes through several key ports.
