Russia has seen a 20% increase in pasta exports in the first seven months of the year, reaching 65 thousand tons. The country aims to strengthen its position in the global pasta market, currently in 12th place with a 1.5% share, by expanding exports to 200 thousand tons by 2030. The high price of pasta compared to wheat and lower export duties on grain in Russia due to cheaper raw materials are factors contributing to this growth. However, the industry faces challenges such as higher transport costs and tougher competition.
