Russia has caught over 4 million tons of aquatic products, with the Far East region contributing over 3 million tons, including a notable increase in the catch of Alaska pollock, Atlantic cod, Pacific herring, and Far Eastern plaice. The total catch in northern and western waters, as well as in the Azov-Black Sea and Volga-Caspian Sea waters, also saw an increase. Additionally, seafood caught in foreign exclusive economic zones, treaty areas, and open high seas brought the total catch to 406,300 tons. As of October 12, 43 ships carried 27,882 tons of seafood, including salmon, pollock, herring, and Atlantic cod, with the freshly caught seafood primarily supplied to the domestic market.
