The government of Santa Fe formally presented the Port Entry Circuit (CIP), a project that seeks to completely redefine the circulation of trucks that supply the 32 ports of the Greater Rosario, the country's main export zone. The initiative aims to solve historical problems: lack of coordination between municipalities, dispersed fee collection, deteriorated routes, and severe traffic jams during the harvest season. The magnitude of the challenge is clear. During peak activity times, the region can receive more than 5,000 trucks per day, and in November alone, 64,289 heavy vehicles entered driven by the movement of wheat. In total, it is estimated that about 2 million trucks from 13 provinces traverse the Santa Fe road network each year heading to the port terminals.
