The Sebrae Minas held, last Tuesday (27/1), in Santana da Vargem, an in-person meeting of the ALI Rural program, aimed at beekeepers from the South of Minas Gerais. Fourteen honey and propolis producers from the South-Minas Beekeepers Cooperative (Coapsul) participated, accompanied by Sebrae since August 2025. The objective of the meeting was to strengthen management and cooperatives, as well as to present Sebrae Minas solutions for the rural sector, encouraging planning, decision-making, and collective work. The producers work with Africanized European bees (Apis mellifera) and also engage in coffee cultivation, which gives the honey unique characteristics in the region. The hives are distributed across seven municipalities in South Minas: Boa Esperança, Campos Gerais, Coqueiral, Nepomuceno, Santana da Vargem, São Bento Abade, and Três Pontas.
