The National Rural Learning Service (Senar) and the Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of São Paulo (Faesp) announced the state's adherence to the Health in the Countryside Program. The initiative, launched by Senar Central in May 2025, is already present in 21 Brazilian states and has benefited more than 24,000 people in rural communities across the country. The program focuses on the prevention of diseases, the promotion of health, and the improvement of the quality of life of rural families. It articulates three areas of action: knowledge (information and education), technical assistance, and telehealth in health. The Health in the Countryside Program will be implemented in seven regions of the state of São Paulo, with the goal of benefiting more than 2,250 rural producers in the state over the next two years.
