Turkey's sesame exports are projected to surge by 195% in the first two months of 2024, rising from $6.645 million to $19.632 million, as per Aegean Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters' Association President, Muhammet Öztürk. The demand for Turkey's high-quality sesame is growing in China, Japan, and Europe. The association's sesame panel chicken was well received at the Foodex Fair in Tokyo. Additionally, Turkey's cumin and anise exports have also seen substantial growth. In 2023, Poland, Iraq, and Germany were the top importers of Turkish sesame.
