Yeongam Geumjeong Farmers' Association (Chairman Choi Young-taek) held a shipment ceremony for the first export of 2025 Shine Muscat to the United States at the Dabong Persimmon Distribution Center (APC) in Geumjeong on the 12th. This export was driven to find a new outlet for Shine Muscat farmers who are facing difficulties due to a domestic supply surplus. Yeongam Geumjeong Farmers' Association collaborated with the Grape Export Business Division (Director Kim Young-jin, Secretary Hwang Seung-hoon) of the Gichan Grape Farming Cooperative to renovate some facilities at the Dabong Persimmon Distribution Center to meet U.S. export standards, thereby obtaining the designation of a U.S. export complex. From the beginning of this year, applications and quarantine inspections for the cultivation areas of 27 farms (12 hectares) within the export complex were completed, finally paving the way for U.S. exports.
