The Vietnam Association of Seafood Processors and Exporters (VASEP) has just proposed that the Department of Agricultural Quality, Processing and Market Development (NAFIQPM), Ministry of Agriculture and Environment support the removal of difficulties regarding farming areas and subjects of residue monitoring for seafood enterprises in Ca Mau. According to the enterprises, the appendix of the list, subjects, and scope of monitoring under the Program for monitoring residues of harmful substances in farmed aquatic animals and products in 2026, the Southern Region (Circular 53/CCNB-NV dated January 21, 2026 of NAFIQPM), does not yet include all native shrimp species (whiteleg shrimp, silver-card shrimp, black tiger shrimp, white-leg shrimp) in the key farming areas in Ca Mau.
