The head of the Center, Oleg Knyazkov, has announced plans to increase red fish production to 250 thousand tons by 2030, with 90% of the fish expected to be for the Russian market. This is a result of the construction and reconstruction of enterprises, increased self-sufficiency in fry and feed, and a decrease in imported fish. By 2030, salmon is projected to make up 42% of the total aquaculture production. The aquaculture industry is set to attract significant investments, with plans to reach 80% self-sufficiency for fish seed material and 95% for feed by 2030.
