Imports of meal into EU countries from July to August 2019 decreased by 7% compared to the same period last year, according to the European Commission (EC). This decline was driven by a decrease in imports of soybean and sunflower meal, while imports of rapeseed meal increased by 52%. Brazil was the largest supplier of soybean meal to Europe, followed by Argentina and the USA, while Russia and Belarus were the leaders in rapeseed meal exports and Ukraine and Argentina were the largest suppliers of sunflower meal.
