From January to September of 2020, Georgia exported 2259.1 tons of fish to three countries - Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkey - earning USD 1,167.1 in revenue. The majority of the exports were to Turkey, with 2190.2 tons under the 0302 trademark. Exports to Azerbaijan and Armenia were made by road, while to Turkey, they were made by sea. The Georgian government is constructing the country's first fishing vessel, financed by the state, and plans to increase aquaculture development.
