Differentiated according to animal species, these were 46,120 cattle, 89,940 pigs, 2,195 sheep, 348 goats and 8 horses. A slight increase in slaughtered pigs by 1,262 animals or 0.9 percent was registered compared to the same period of the previous year in 2021. The number of pigs slaughtered increased by 3,603 animals or 4.2 percent compared to the first half of 2021. In contrast, the number of cattle slaughtered fell by a total of 1,539 animals or 3.2 percent. In the case of sheep (-749 animals or -25.4 percent), goats (-51 animals or -12.8 percent) and horses ( -2 animals or -20 percent) there was a decrease in the number of animals slaughtered.
