The April Systematic Survey of Agricultural Production (LSPA) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) predicts a growth in the production of at least six crops in Goiás compared to the previous harvest, with sorghum and tomatoes leading the increase by 5.8% and 27.1% respectively. Other expected increases include rice, 2nd harvest beans, sunflower, and cassava. This growth is attributed to the Goiás Government's policies, modern technologies, technical assistance, and access to credit, as well as the expansion in planted area. In 2024, the state's production of cereals, legumes, and oilseeds is projected to be 31.72 million tons.
